What type of oil cap was used on what engines?

Just about every Mopar I see at shows has the ribbed oil cap.

Like this one.

But then I see this article before.
So what engine's and years used which one's?

Just the Hemi's used the one in the article, right?   :huh:

70-71' 318's & 340's I believe had the deep dish type.

Is that correct?

I believe this deep "S" cap was used on 70-71 Hemis as the article states, and I believe perhaps other engines.  The ribbed one is a commonly used replacement, and may be correct for later years or other applications.  :alan2cents:
