Almost ready to lnstall my engine. Question is, will it fit from underneath the car with headers bolted on? 73 Challenger 440/ 727

Shane Kelley

It should unless there is something odd about the headers.

Yes it should that's the way most of us do it.  You will have very little room so go slow and take your time.  Good luck.

I have done this many times , install the wiring harness carb , fan , trans linkage unless it is a 4 spd & it will go in easily from the bottom , I place jack stand under the front of the leaf spring & use the diff as counter weight & lift the front of the car by hand using my legs , easy lift , prop it up roll the engine & K frame under , lower the body & you can have it bolted in & connected in approx 1.5 hrs
