I have been looking for a passenger side exhaust manifold for my 440.  I placed a"wanted" add on my local Craigslist, and someone contacted me saying they have one.  Here is his response:

"I HAVE ONE THAT NEEDS THE BRAZED AREA GROUND BACK TO ORIGINAL SURFACE, IT HAD A CRACK AND WAS PROFESSIONALY REPAIRED ON SIDE THAT IS AGAINST THE MOTOR SO YOU WOULD NOT SEE IT."

Is this something I should be ok with? I have not called him yet to get the price.

Thanks

I would not waste my time , once cracked it is virtually impossible to repair it , it needs to be very clean , heated up & welded with high nickle rod & cooled & it will still likely warp & need to be milled flat again

Thanks, I did not have a good feeling about it to begin with.

I have seen a ton of them cracked in that area the last few years. Not sure if they are still being repoed or not.

I'd definitely pass, It shouldn't be that hard to find a good one....

Well I have been looking for one for a while now, sure they do come up on eBay, but they want at least $400 for one. I don't consider myself cheap, but that seems like a lot to me.
