how to hide the Emoji

I don't use the emojis a lot when I write or reply and wondered can they be hidden ?

That's a good question.  Let me see if it can be done...

In everyone's profile menu, there's a couple setting like "Don't show users' avatars" and "Don't show users' signatures.", but I don't see one that says don't show smileys.  But there's a workaround that will allow you to post and not have to load the smileys.

Go to your profile

Click "Look and Layout"

near the bottom there should be one that says "Use quick reply on topic display:" Turn it to SHOW, ON BY DEFAULT.

That will put a reply box at the bottom of every thread so you can reply without having to click the reply button and see all the smileys.  Hope that helps a little bit.
