We have several members that have achieved Big Block Status now.  The Six Pack and The Mighty 426 Elephant will soon have some new guests too.  Thinking about making some tweaks to the posting levels:

Any thoughts on adding some more levels or spacing the ones we have out a little more?  Suggestions?  What's between Big Block, Six pack and a 426?  Is there any higher level then a 426?  Maybe a super charged or blower 426?   :D

What do you guys want to do?   :help:

Mighty 426 elephant should be called Hemi and kick in at 426 posts. Other levels could be Fuel Injected and Nitrous.

I just want to keep the Leaning Tower of Power designation ..... its such a perfect fit for me, LOL :)    I guess that means I need to quit posting soon  :stop:

one thought could be all the engine combos in order (198 Slant 6, 225 Slant 6, 318, 340, 340 6 Pack, etcetc)

You could add more engine options that were available in the E body instead of /in addition to the "small or big" block categories...If E body applications aren't a concern you could always span engines that were available in other models like "max wedge", "long ram","turbine" etc...

At least cover all of the different E body engines.
There's also a Z code engine which was used for the factory sponsored race cars.

Let's keep it E-Bodies :alan2cents:

In my mind... (as feeble as it may be)

Slant six
318
340
340 6 pack/barrel
360
383 2V
383 4V
440 4V
440 6 pack/barrel
426 Hemi
Top Fuel..

Mopar or no car!!!

Was there 2 different displacements of slant 6 available?
Also, 2 different horsepower ratings for 383-4 barrel?   Gran Coupe/Barracuda vs. 'Cuda
If I remember correctly, the Z code engine that I saw on a 'Cuda was a 440, but it probably could have been any race prepped custom engine.

yup. for the Barracuda - 198 /6 - @450 made in 1970. the 225 /6 - @ 4600 in 1970. 1971 only had @ 95 of the 198 and 1500ish of the 225. 1972 had @800 of the 225 early production runs, they quit making them pretty quick in favor of the 318 and 340 combos (I've never even seen a '72 with a /6)

All great suggestions guys!  And I like the idea of keeping it E-Body related.  With the wonderful growth and good group of members it seems as if we do need to make a slight adjustment to the levels.

How's this?

(numbers of post to reach each level)

Leaning Tower of Power @ 0 Posts
Small Block @ 318 Posts
Big Block @ 440 Posts
Six Pack @ 3200 Posts
Mighty 426 Hemi @ 4260 Posts

Those last levels will take a little more time to reach, but those are special levels just like the engines.

I like it, but still think the 340 6 pack is an E-body well known recognition and directly related to the line up.   :notsure:

340 six pack in my mind is better then a 340, 360 maybe even better then a 383. It was underrated, a one year engine with special one off internal components. It should be in there.
