Cudajason

this is new for an Ontario b0y like me.

Apparently there are some wildfires in the province of Alberta and the smoke has rolled into Calgary where I have been since Tuesday night.

I walked out of the restaurant yesterday evening and thought there was a large fire somewhere...nope just the smoke.

The worst part is that it has that bonfire smell, which is ok at a bonfire, but not everywhere you walk.

Kind happy I am leaving this afternoon.

It is hazy here this morning, and they said on the news it's smoke in the upper atmosphere from the Canadian wildfires.  It's amazing how far it travels and how much territory it affects.
We've had a record amount of rain for the month of May.  Midwest farmers are in bad shape unable to plant because of wet and flooded fields.  Too bad we can't ship some of this record rain up north to douse your wildfires!

this is the 3rd year in a row for Calgary although t seems to have started early this year , most of my life there the skies were very clear & the view of the rockies was amazing , lately you cannot see the Rockies when you are 200 feet away

Swamp Donkey

I'm getting smoked out here in BC from the Alberta fires.  Smokiest day so far is today.

Wow that is thick.
Last years season my family in Wisconsin was complaining to me about the smoke they got from the California fires.

Never used to be a problem in B.C. However now they spend more time talking about the fires with their University educations and less time on the ground working and in the air water bombing. So it's the new normal unfortunately. Part of the reason we're moving out of here.
