Just got word from Peggy ( his wife) that Alan passed on October 25th 2024
Alan sure will be missed , you couldn't find a more generous soul. He would do anything for anybody! He was more active on the old site Cuda-Challenger.com. His health was  struggle for quite awhile.   Sure loved his Mopars. We will miss you Alan!  :andyangel:  :grouphug:

He will be missed.
I just spent a day with him beginning of 24.

This news saddens me. I remember him from Carlisle a few years ago, the man had everybody laughing. I know he struggled with health issues but I don't think he ever gave in to them. RIP Al.

Condolences to his loved ones. I never met him but conversed with him on c-c.com and heard nothing but good things about him.

:andyangel:  So sorry to hear. Very sad.

Sad to hear. Never Met Al but seemed like a good dude. Enjoyed his input in threads on cc.c
Remember his shipping out parts to those that needed them, very generous soul.

Interesting that this Moparal thread is right next to a 'Gordon' thread. I remember the two having a 'unique' sort of relationship on cc.c...lol

I remember him sending out Christmas cards one year to any member that wanted one. I'm sure his wife would appreciate members signing his guestbook.

I didn't know him very well. Just a few conversations on CC, but he was always very helpful and generous to me. I hadn't seen anything from him here on ebodies and I just assumed the worst. I remember he had a run of bad health back at CC. Never knew if he had beat it or not. I also knew Gordon a little bit. We had dinner one evening when he was passing through Cheyenne, WY.

My condolences to both families.

Time catches all of us. Live everyday to the fullest my friends.

Last I spoke with Al we were talking about me buying his demon.   He had a couple of the smaller mopars for sale also, Shelby's?, I can't think of the name of the little cars. He had two for sale.
He had to sale his 64 fury and the 426 motor he had for it due to his situation.
His duster had a built engine and was close to being able to be put back together and ran on the strip.  We joked a bunch about him getting another chance to run that orange baby down the strip again before his passing.  I told him I would be glad to sit in the passengers seat for him to do a pass if he needed me to, for support.
Sure wish we could have had that chance but at least we both got to imagine it and dream about it.

This was the last day I saw Al.  It was raining and overcast.
His county road, on the beginning of my drive home.

Anyone happen to notice and remember the car that is behind Al in his garage in the first picture I posted?

Hint, the last sticky thread just above this thread on the list.
