I went there as Al was selling me the remainder of his ebody parts.
HE kept piling things on that had nothing to do with ebodies.

Now, I realize he was truly trying to get rid of as much as he could for his dear wife Peggy.  I afforded everything I could for him.  Took everything he tried to sale me with exception of the cars.  I just couldn't go any further at the time.
Al, never gave me "good" deals.  I was happy just to buy some ebody stuff and help him out.
Al sold me my first M46 scoop.  No break there, I paid what he paid. 836.50 for my first M46 scoop. 2010 I think.
I bring Al's scoop with me to carlisle and carry it when I walk around the swap meet to show it off when I ask vendors if they have any scoops, or info, or leads or anything M46 related.  You can see the scoop on the dash of my cuda when I brought it to carlisle 2021.   It is a very rusty scoop and the worst single scoop I own.

Sad news, he was a popular member to say the least.

I just thought I would post some pictures of Alan's car that he restored.  I'm sure with help from friends but it was his baby for a while.

Bullitt-

Thanks for sharing Brad. Since seeing this last night I have been thinking a lot about the many good times spent with Alan. He took me to my first Battleship Mopars long ago and to Carlisle in 2014, that was a trip... I have to admit I have not been a very good friend to him the last few years and I now regret that.

Here is a video of a car he built from pretty much a shell from 2016 y'all might appreciate

Hint, the last sticky thread just above this thread on the list.

@cuda hunter Is that not Cuda-Guy's car?

Bon voyage Al. I remember him from CC.com and he seemed like a great guy. Condolences to his family, too.

Peggy ( Alan's wife) via facebook asked me to post this for her.... I sent her a link to this post so she could read the comments.

"if you could post and tell everyone thank you for the kind words. It means a lot to me to know that Alan was thought of. He was the best.
A lot of the names are familiar to me. And brings back good memories."

I sold AL some barracuda parts over on Cuda-Challenger.com and even talked to him on the phone. He was a real Mopar guy and will be missed by all that knew him.

I never met him, though I read a lot of his posts on CC.  Do I recall correctly he preferred to deal with fellow CC users who had achieved a certain number of posts, and a certain level of membership interaction?  I remember being happy when I hit that mark but thats about the time when work/life forced me to shut down work on the car again.

Rest in Peace.
