Any stories on High Performance Mopar Rental cars back then?

Hertz once had a GT 350H you could rent.

What there anything equivalent for Mopars back during the 70's?

i.e: rental promotions on 440, 440+6 or Hemi's?

Could you image renting a Hemi back in the day.  That would be like renting a Demon today.  The gas pedal would be used like an On / Off switch.

Rented a Gen3 Challenger a few years back in Denver, was fun to take out thru the Mountains.
Rented the Hertz Penske Mustangs twice, first time when. Brought it back the clerk asked first , how many tickets did you get ? But then again I've taken a rental Chevy Spark with 13 miles on it over 100 mph.
