Rest up man.  You got to get better for the season!

Sorry to hear that.
Been There Done That. Slipped & Herniated discs.
Blew up T5 and T6 racing Quads in the Dunes 3/03/2001, fused solid T3-T8 with Titanium Rods and 8 Deck Screws in there.

Cortisone Injections‎ can help the inflammation.  :ohyeah:
Lived with the low back pain for years. It's now the best it's been since before I broke it in 2001.
Regular Deep Tissue Massage is what finally has me pain free.
Oh, I still pay the price after many types of physical activity but who doesn't? It's nice to not feel that pain every day any more.

Best wishes for a full recovery.

If your chiropractor has massage on site your insurance may cover it. Mine does not.  :crying:

I`ve been thru everything in the past - PT, injections, pills etc. The good news is I made a whole 7 hours at work today before I gave in to the pain and was able to tie my sneakers sitting up this afternoon (been a lying on back 10 minute ordeal the last few days) so I am VERY catiuosly optomisitc. I am still getting those stabbing pains if I move the wrong way so we`ll have to see how things go from here.

Good luck I blew my back out in 2014 and ended up having L3 and L4 fused and a year later went back in to have L2 fused also.  Not the best couple of years for me.  Doing well now so knock on wood it stays good.  My wife has also had a couple of fusions and is currently going in every 3 months for a shot in her back which relieves her sciatica for 7-10 weeks.  Good luck.  Hope you don't need another surgery.

Had my MRI this morning and Dr`s office called with preliminary results, not exactly good news though. I already knew L4 and 5 were in rough shape and the cause of my pain 10-11 years ago. Today the nurse started with L1-L2 being degenerative and narrowed and kept going all the way down to L5 so now basically my whole lower spine is junk. To top that of she then tells me they saw cysts on my kidneys which might not be a big deal but now I need an ultrasound to check those out. I`ll get the full analysis of my back on the 27th with the specialist. Sucks getting old!

Man, that sucks.  Is there much they can do to help you?

Prednisone has at least made it so I can function without too much pain for now but won`t know what the plan is until the 27th when I see the specialists. I`m hoping physical therapy, injections etc. will help but I`m sure surgery would be an option down the road if nothing else works.
