Cody

I am curious when the fender tag or broadcast sheet information is submited to decode, is that information private to the just the person wanting it decoded or does go on file at the E Bodies site????

                                                         Thank You

Also why doesn't the preview function not work??

When you say the preview function is not working could you explain that a little more so I can look in to it? I was not aware that anything was not working on the decoders. We try our best to keep an eye on program errors or any problems with the decodes, but sometimes things work differently for people using different platforms. Our goal is to try to make sure it works perfectly on as many platforms as possible. We do not know who uses the decoders and we have no way to contact anyone that does use them. So if someone decodes a sheet and gives the results to you and you want to know if we can contact them, no we do not have any way to contact them. We keep an eye out for errors or issues and the system is set up to send me an email if there is a crash or problem so I can look in to fixing it. Data used on the decoders looks like normal programmer code. We did not start out trying to keep track of anything and the data was not originally set up in a format to be saved or searched, but during updates and in an effort to fix errors we had to create a way to look for the problems and errors. So the data is kept on a sever as space allows so errors can be fixed and updates can be made. The data collected looks like this...

lw

1v

0

1

6

e

ar

10

0

k0

2

4

2z

y8

If an error happens it breaks the string and we can go in and look at where in the decode process it had the problem. I have no interest in building another program to collect the data in a way that it could be put in a database and searched. WAY to much time and money would be invested to make the decoders work like that. We're focusing on programming the 1971 build sheet decoder now.

Sorry Cody I was going to make a post and hit the preview button and it did nothing. Am I doing something wrong? The decoder works just fine.
                                                       Sorry

If you hit the "preview" button on a post you might have to scroll up bit to see the preview. It might say "Fetching preview..." for a second then it should show you what the post will look like. It does not take you to a new page.
