Well the wife played along and it won't be long before the new fuel tank can go back in.  Just some metal on the outer areas and primer underneath.  This should carry me through next year when the back half will get blown out properly.  BTW, all the metal fab is by hand so far, no brake or other proper tools involved.  I misinterpreted the dimensions so the "ramp" is longer than it needs to  be but will do the job.
