Got the last mile out of this one, 406,508 miles.
Tried to replace 27,000miles ago , but didn't spend enough time trying to get the bolt clip off.
With the tow and new belt , I'm out another $250, ugh.

How long does a serpentine belt idler pulley bearing last?  Oh, I'd say they should last about 406,507 miles.

I'm getting a noise around the fan area on my A66. It almost sounds like lifters, but it goes away after warm up/driving.

I'm wondering if it's a pulley/bearing.

It's kinda like asking how high is up. They could fail in 50k or live to 406k. Having said that, the old rule of thumb was that if you got 100k miles out of it, you'd gotten your money's worth. Anything beyond that and I'd see it as gravy- and it appears you got your share of that!
