Transportation Movement Specialist.
M.O.S. 71N20 (no longer exists)
Troop Movements, Equipment load planning, etc. Similar to an Air Force Loadmaster, but had no authority once we stepped on the aircraft.
My unit, at Fort Lewis, Washington, prepared the first ever computerized load plans for the deployment of the 9th Infantry Division.
Prepared load plans for the C-130, C-141, C-5A, as well as various Army, and Navy vessels.
I have two sons who are in the Army.  Both are Master Sergeants, E-8.  One works in intelligence, and the other is a maintenance supervisor.  Both are Airborne Jumpmasters.

Us Navy vet. 85/88. Plankowner aboard Uss Theodore Roosevelt CVN-71. A gang (A division) Machine shop.  I can honestly say I was pretty much in every part of the ship, top to bottom side to side and even underneath when we had her in dry dock. Go NAVY beat ARMY!!!! :unitedstates:

U.S.Navy, 1968-1972, started NTC, San Diego, Ca. 1st duty sta. Traron 2, NAS Milton Fla. '68-'69. Transferred to Traron 6, NAS Pensacola, Fla. '69-'70. during this time. W/ VT-6 I also worked out of Supply Support Center, Sherman Field, NAS Pensacola Fla. where LTJG Roger Staubach was my Division Officer. During the last 6 mos of '70 I was TAD to the Blue Angels, which is home ported out of the same hanger I worked in. From there to USS Franklin D. Roosevelt CVA-42, sister ship to the USS Midway CVA-41 (now a museum in San Diego Ca.) was also built the same time as the USS Coral Sea CVA-39. Worked  in Aviation Supply extent of duty.     Thanks,   Al
