Hi All,
I just picked up MMC Detroit's Guide to Fasteners, Hardware and General Assembly and I am amazed by the details. I was interested in the book but didn't get it cause it was just too expensive. But now I'm at a point where I am not sure which bolt goes where and which ones I need to get. So I figured it would help with some bolt identification.

Man, I wish I would have gotten this book MUCH earlier. If you're not familiar with it, it is only partially about the bolts and fasteners. It is a great guide about virtually all the components. Great photos that you can ACTUALLY see stuff in detail unlike the reproduction E-Body manual where you have to squint to make out what is in the photo. LOL. This thing shows the set ups for the pumps and pulleys, has references to light bulbs and relays, pcv valves and breathers, brake pedal switches, masking tape, you name it it is all there. If you're doing any work and have questions, do yourself a favor and get this book. It is well worth the price. I don't know how many pages, but it is about 2 inches thick.

@tparker got a link? I'd hate to order the wrong thing at those prices.

Now I remember looking at it a few years back and thought they were more fair on the book price (due to the awesome work within it), but a bit out of line on the shipping. I may do it anyway, but how I'd love to get half the shipping money back that I've shelled out in this hobby, lol.

I've had one for a few years and find it indispensable.
But remember the only thing consistent is they were not always consistent on the assembly line.

I bought one of the first editions.  Nice, but I wish I would have waited until I was closer to actually working on the car.  By the time I got started in earnest there were a lot of great updates/additions to the guide that I could have used.  Maybe I should see if they'll take a trade in😂

I've got a copy too. Would be nice if there was a pdf version of it to make searching it faster.

I have a few manuals from Dave Wise and they're invaluable👍

I purchased Dave's Fastener guide when restoring my 'cuda and it was full of valuable information. If your a Restoration shop or individual who cares about correctness on your build it is a must have.

Yeah that looks impressive, and expensive. Thanks for the link, maybe if I get another stimulus check I'll go for it (:

Yes, they're expensive. But, so is the entire Mopar hobby...
