Any updates if the ModTop 70 Hemi 'cuda was ever recovered?

JH27N0B

I'm on multiple Mopar forums daily and I've never heard anything about the car being recovered.
Either Steve got the car back and has kept it a big secret, or more likely it got smuggled out of the country and is in the collection of some Arab sheik or Russian oligarch.  :alan2cents:

Was just talking to someone about it the other day and how we haven't heard a thing about it.   :crying:  Afraid it might be gone forever.

A few years back I had picked up a some Chrysler giveaway glasses in the original still sealed boxes. I knew what type they were because I kept some for myself. They had frosted pentastars on them. I called Steve Juliano and asked him if he'd like to by some of the boxes from me, I believe they were 1965 glasses. He was very generous in his purchase. Since I was calling locally, San Clemente, Ca. We talked for quite awhile, really about everything. The Mod Top was brought up, he seemed especially proud of as he talked. Yes, I did tell him of my SL6 Challenger. His interest was that I had owned it so long, as a daily driver. I had heard a bit ago that his Mod Top car was stolen, I really hope somehow that he gets that totally Mopar unique car back. He is really a great guy to talk to, but.............
I'd love to see his everything Mopar collection one day.       Thanks,   Al

I was hoping someone would say it was safe and sound.

Chryco Psycho

like anything else it likely is safe & sound in a private collection that they cannot show anyone , what a waste , it will turn up eventually but it could be a lot of years from now

I am sad it was lost as well. And I do consider it a loss for the hobby as it is a one of one artifact. Steve is a pretty cool guy from what I have seen. It probably is overseas somewhere never to be publicly seen again.
