Need some help ID what this came off of?

I was at a customers today servicing lawn equipment, when I spotted this? I asked him about it and he had no idea what it came off of?  He asked if I wanted it , as he had no use for it . Said he found it in the old barn out back?  So I traded a service call and a few dollars in parts for it. He was thrilled!
No idea what it's worth or what its off of? I was thinking a grader or some other big equipment? Tractor? Looks to be a rad shell of some sort. The "Chrysler" logo is stamped/raised in the metal. It's heavy , I'd guess 30-40 lbs? Has a neat access latch that still works.    Make a cool grill for a rat rod!  I thought a good friend of mine was collecting oil cans for his shop and might like to have it hanging on his wall?  Lets see how long it takes him to see this post....
