Jeez, seeing that comic for 12 cents really makes me feel old, as I remember when they were 10 cents and we all thought that going to 12 cents was a bit of a rip-off! My grandmother worked in a pharmacy that had a magazine rack and I used to go there every day after school and was allowed to read all the comics they had- free. Tempus fugit, eh?

He was responsible for re-inventing and reinvigorating the genre of Superheros.  Stan Lee's creative mind changed the way we saw our Superheros; they had human flaws, human problems and struggled with personal, professional and monetary problems like we all do.  He "humanized' the Superhero, made Marvel Comics a household name; this is especially true today with many of the Marvel heroes made into the popular action movies.  8)
