Still working on my 67 Satellite. After spraying down the trans with some brake clean I Finally found the trans leak. The pan gasket is leaking front and rear. It looks like a rubber one. Any suggestions on a good replacement ? Back in the 90's I used cork and a nice bead of silicone. Also they call for Dex 2 fluid which is no longer available so what is everybody using. It is a 318 with a 727 trans.
Thanks

This is what I use. I have been told that the Ford-type fluid is superior to the other types.  :alan2cents:

Skid Row

Type F is what I understand to be the best to run.

I know Type F shifts harder. I ran that in my Challenger. I do not think you can mix the two though. I would have to drain the whole system --converter and all to switch fluids. I was just planning on changing the pan gasket and replace the fluid.

I've been asking similar question... what replaces DEXRON II?.... technical answer is DEX/MERC... and that's what I've put in my new rebuilt 727... A-OK!
