Saw a video from the funeral  . . wonder if he will be laid to rest in California or will he return to Canada?  I also saw that he is survived by his parents, his brothers and 2 sisters . . can't imagine losing a child . . .

I don't know what video you saw Dave but according to the Rush forum they're all bogus.

I was surprised to see something . . makes more sense that it was bogus.  I read through the link you shared and I agree with one of the members that the service was probably over before they announced that he passed.  Still wonder if he was cremated or laid to rest somewhere?

I am / was a huge RUSH fan!  Every year that they toured, I was there.  My wife would give me shit . . . "You just went last year!"  I would say . . . "You never know, this may be the last time I get to see them!"   Now it is over . . . never again.  Reminds me of Led Zeppelin . . . Was going to the show before their drummer passed.  I was devastated then but this one hit me hard.  Rush was a major influence to my guitar playing . . . I can play pretty much all the songs up to and including Moving Pictures.  They were "Rock Gods" in my world . . .  :worship:

There's a push to honor him with a statue or plaque in my neck of the woods. The article has links to the petition and gofundme pages.

I think that is an amazing idea to have a memorial at Lakeside Park!   :clapping:  :worship:

One of those shocks that puts you to the floor...

Being an Montrealer in my youth, I was fortunate to see the show that they recorded for Exit... Stage Left.  Max Webster was the opening act.  Great night and a $10 ticket.

Sadness, I also attended my first Rush concert on the Farewell to Kings tour, and again most recently on the Clockwork Angels tour in 2012.  The day I knew I was going to a Rush concert always put a happy grin on my mug.
