Which gas would you buy?

I buy premium gas for the old cars. In the circles that I run you can no longer get premium without ethanol in it. Today we went to the res so my wife could get cigarettes and they had premium gas with no ethanol. So which would you buy, top tier gas with ethanol or reservation gas with no ethanol?

I don't know what reservation gas is.
But premium fuel without ethanol has to be much better than the one with ethanol

Reservation gas is sold on native reservations. It's always cheaper, 50 - 70 cents per gallon less, but I think a lot of people question the quality of it. It is not top tier gas for sure.

Maybe the reservation does not have to pay taxes on the gas?

Found this site useful to look for non-ethanol fuel near me in the US/CA: https://www.pure-gas.org/

I would rather have non-ethanol gas but if it`s not quality or even questionable I`d stick with known ethanol. I only run name brand stuff, no no-name/bargain stations, I`m not sure if the gas is actually better but I`ve never had an issue.

I would suspect taxes are the difference. I doubt they make their own gas. LOL. Most gas comes from the same sources then each major company adds their own additives, or something like that as I understand. Where would ethanol free gas come from? meaning, who is selling it that way?

I would buy the reservation gas in a heartbeat.  Cheaper, more pure.  Gas is gas.  Unless the high octane number is a lie, it's the stuff you want.  That said, I live in California, and mostly all I have is access to are ethanol blends.  I live with it.  I don't over think it, or worry about it.  There are economical ethanol-fighting additives that may help stave off your... concerns. "Ethanol Defense" is but one of many products available.  But they all, in one way or another, add to the cost of fuel.  Few of us have access to "res fuel" and if you do, go for it.  But don't rub the noses of the rest of us in it.  You got a good deal, there.

I buy res gas all the time. Usually runs 18-20 cents a litre less (X 3.89 for a US gallon). My old 360 isn't fussy fuel-wise, but once the 408's in we'll see. And, if you're a smoker who's not too fussy, you can buy a bagged 200 for $20- or less.

It's the same fuel. You think the Bands have their own refineries?
I fill up at a reservation all the time..I can choose from Esso, Shell....premium, regular, regular diesel, dyed diesel.
What makes you think it's any different?

I get it that reservation gas has less tax on it. Also it's not top tier gas meaning it has less additives that help prolong engine life and improve fuel economy.
Why does their premium have no ethanol and every one else's does? If they can order it that way then they they can order the most basic of fuel. It's a common perception that it's lower grade fuel. Maybe that's all hogwash.

Same refinery yes but don`t the major brands have their own mix of additives and when does the ethanol get added into it?
