I for one get tired of seeing so many vehicles that are either black or white. So in a world of black and white vehicles this was nice to see.

It's depressing, but I often sit at a traffic light and count the colours of cars around me...5 white, 3 grey, 4 black etc.... :tired: sitting in my dark blue truck :haha:
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

You think thats depressing, I counted 42 Teslas on my 4 mile round trip to Home Depot all white, blue or black :barf:
You can't buy happiness, but you can buy horsepower and that's kind of the same thing.....

Reason you see Teslas in white, black, or gray is because that is their standard colors.   You want red its a $3,000 price hike, and I think $2,000 for blue.   Ridiculous...as were their prices...proof of how ridiculous their prices were soon as their was competition the prices dropped by as much as $12,000 per car..

Our 4Runner got totaled out in January by a guy running a red light. My wife has been looking for another 4 wheel drive vehicle to replace it. When she goes into a dealer, the first thing she tells them is she doesn't want a black or a white vehicle. The dealer usually says she's eliminated most of their vehicles on the lot. She doesn't particularly care for the gray and silver vehicles either. Sad but true we live in a monochrome world when it comes to vehicles.

For years I've wondered how much of a positive effect it would have on people's disposition if there were far less drab black, white, grey and silver cars and a lot more colours. I'm sure there would be some kind of a psychological effect.

... and even the ones that are a nice color most likely the interior will be BLACK
Not that I dislike the look of a black interior but for a daily driver it's HOT here in the Sunny South & every spec shows up..  :headbang:

That's absurd. What a racket.

Free market at work, competitive capitalism caught up with Tesla, but why shouldn't they push high profit it as long as they can.  Shareholders demand it.  Tesla is no longer the only supply, but creating a high margin racket is the goal of the free market.

My wife bought a Sunset Orange Pearlescent Honda Element 19 years ago and is still driving it, in an ocean of bland.

I am not sure why anyone would buy a car that looks like a catfish coming at you. Add appliance white as a color and I pass.

I know what you mean but 20 years ago it might have been different colours 30 years ago different, about 6 years ago I went to a car show, I parked in a row with about 7 other cars different makes , different colours from1969 to 1973, I asked each one what was original color of their car they all said the same color green as was mine

Yup, it`s horrible these days - black, white, grey, dark grey, repeat - why my last vehicles were dark red, medium blue, dark red, ligth brown. Barracuda is orange, road runners are purple and red - I won`t buy a vehicle on the white-black scale, I need color!

Growing up in the'70s, I recall about 6 shades of green, 5 shades of brown, and 4 shades of gold that seemed to be on nearly everything. Candy or metallic root beer brown was a popular custom car color.

Went to an RV show a few weekends ago and also noticed nearly everything was in black, white, and shades of grey.

Its been proven social and economic conditions impact automotive color choice.

Yup....We have a black Dodge truck. We inquired about the lime green version we had seen. We were told that we needed to order a minimum of twelve trucks to get that colour.......so.......we got black......

So many colours.....and we get to choose from white, black, red or blue.......yippeeeee!

At least the Challengers and Chargers over the last 10 years have been offered in a variety of cool colors.
When I ordered my Ram 2500 in 2021 I spent a lot of time pondering the color.
They had 2 blues. The dark blue was a little too darkfor me. They had a B5 type hue, that I loved on my Challenger but seemed too much for a big truck.
They had a variety of extra cost colors and an olive green hue intrigued me.
But I finally settled on the burgundy red (Delminco red). It's a pretty color and looks great on Rams.
Probably best I made that choice. My truck was delivered early, about 7 weeks from placing the order.
The way things seem to work at the plants with colors, I'd probably still be waiting for me truck to this day if I'd ordered olive green over one of their popular colors!
