Anyone have a pic of the housing set-up for the ashtray light?
I installed something, no idea if it was specifically for an E-body.
Problem is that it doesn't even light up the area, I can see more light through the cracks of the dash lighting up backside of the housing, hardly any light at all in the actual tray area?
Just how bright should it be, I'd expect to be able to see the change in the tray?
This is how mine looked.
The bulb housing has only a small window directing the light towards the slot in the top of the ashtray. it barely lights up anything in there though!
Thx for the pic, I had the bulb socket facing the wrong way.
I upgraded to a LED and can now see the light!
As you mentioned the hole is small, so correct orientation made the most difference.
Is the ashtray light housing available anywhere? Thanks!
