The thought crossed my mind to get a ticket because of the size of it, but I've not done it in the past and will most likely not this time either.  That amount of money is hard to comprehend.

I  always feel I can do a little bit better , so seeing as I hit five numbers on the lotto a few years back maybe I can do better and get all them on this Powerball

your odds of winning the lottery if you don't buy a ticket are only slightly worse than if you do.

Lottery Slogan "You've got to play to win"    True...

My Lottery Slogan? "You've got to play to lose"   Equally True....

I'll still drop a couple bucks..... Go ahead call me a looser.... You got to play to win....

Besides I'm looking at Island Estates again....

I'll throw away a $20 on it. Cheap thrill. I very rarely buy lottery tickets because my luck is so bad. I'd be better off doing literally anything else with that money.

The kind of money they're talking about is potentially life ending unless you live in one of the states that allow anonymous claiming. The gas station right near me just had a $75k payout not too long ago so I'll buy from there.

Here's a great read for yall. It's long and there's cursing for you sensitive types. http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/828009_Austrianandapos_s_Semi_Annual_andamp_quot_Guide_For_Recent_Lottery_Winners__Or_Deluded_Hopefuls_andamp_quot__Post.html (http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/828009_Austrianandapos_s_Semi_Annual_andamp_quot_Guide_For_Recent_Lottery_Winners__Or_Deluded_Hopefuls_andamp_quot__Post.html)

It's interesting to read all the stories of the lotto winners lives being ruined, divorces, drugs, even bankruptcy.  Even if someone says "I haven't changed, everyone else around me changed."  To win this amount of money is unfathomable to me and it is scary as well.  Although, I do have a list of the Mopars I would go out and buy.   :takemymoney:

I read lots of guys say how it ruined someones life, I'm willing to take the chance... I'd rather be sad in a Hemicuda than sad in a Yugo.... I might even get lucky & be happy in my Hemicida...

So far I have won the lottery 3 times & it has not changed me or my life at all !
Of course $10 doesn't go very far !!
I have  already been unhappy & gone through divorce so how much worse can it get
I only buy tickets every year or 3 , no lottery in Panama anyway .
I have a list of cars for my future car collection too !!

Here in Canada, the max jackpot gets to 60mil.  A tidy sum of money to be sure, considering it is tax free! Of course that is nothing compared to the Powerball!

I buy tickets occasionally, and if I ever won that amount of money I would have one hell of a car collection and all the time in the world to play with them!

If the Powerball is still at that crazy level the next time I go to the states, I will by a ticket just for kicks!  I am pretty sure a Canadian can claim the prize????

I can count on my hand how many times I've purchased lotto tickets. I will only do it, if the amount is crazy high and even then I usually forget to buy the tickets. I've heard the lotto referred to as the idiot tax before lol.

I play the big pots, but I definitely don't need that kind of money. Give me $50K a year clear and not having to punch a clock ever again, I'd be the richest guy in the world!!!!

Oh, what I hate about all this lotto stuff, and I definitely think this is still actual, is that there are people who win once and then half the money they've made they put in lotto tickets. So, that way, the chances for them to win are way bigger than for a simple human being! That is unfair, for me personally, so I've decided that I will no longer buy tickets and invite you to do the same! Instead, you can go on a website like https://clubvip777.com/web/empire777/ and enjoy playing and making money! It is easy to understand the mechanics and if you are not a greedy man, you will definitely end your day with some money in your pockets!

Not a lotto guy myself, but glad that the money goes somewhere good and brings people some joy!

The only lotto I do is buying people scratch tickets for Christmas. It's a really good gift and it's fun to sit around the fireplace and see who won!

i think they should make the limit 1 million. then 700 winners need to be drawn! they could easily add 1 number to each nights draw to get the winning tickets up to the jackpot limit.....maybe 5 million for the orig winner......

What fun would that be? I buy tickets for the dream. It's fun to think about what you could do with all that money. I don't buy tickets until it goes over at least $100 mil. And for all of you that say it's a sucker's bet or a waste of money, who cares.  I don't drink, smoke or do drugs, so spending some money on this every now and then is my guilty pleasure.

I play the lottery every week . . Just not those 2.  I play the one that typically pays out 1 to 10 million.  Odds are better and of course I am hopeful.   Maybe one day!
