We have a lot going on with selling our house and looking for another one which may be a minor or even a major fixer upper, money as always is tight and we are looking at doing some other vacation some time this year and can`t afford both. I love Carlisle and seeing/hanging out with everyone but it`ll only be one year and we`ll plan to go next one. Talk me out of it or maybe start a Go-Fund-Me for us? :D ;)
I have a family reunion in Michigan that weekend so I can't make it either. I plan on being there in 2019 again.
Darn and yet, we all have to make choices in life, seeing as resources and time are limited.
We'll forgive you so long as you DO indeed return to Carlisle in 2019.
I will if Torred will. Things should be less confusing around the tent with one less Jeff, haha.
Jeff,
You need to put family first. YOUR family in this case, and not our family here.
I'll miss seeing you for sure.
Argh, got informed tonight of a function I need to attend on July 13, 2019. Looks like I'm out for next year also!

That's basically a day trip. Leave real early in the morning and get home early the next day. :D

2018 marks my 26th consecutive year for attending Chrysler's @ Carlisle.....I can't think of any reason I wouldn't be going.....other then death
This is not a good thread! Don't want to hear reasons members aren't coming to the yearly club meet! For god sakes . . . It's one weekend a year!
:P
I was seriously thinking on going this year as well.
But then a game plan came together with 3 of my friends.
Heading to Alaska. :woohoo:
River expedition fly fishing on the Kenai River.
And then 2 days out for Salmon and Halibut.
If you were going to buy the parts I was looking for then please stay home. ;)
However you never know what is going to be at Carlisle so I would say go - have a great time and see everyone

There is still a chance we can swing by for Saturday but any vacation plans are up in the air till we figure out if we are moving or not - having trouble finding a house with a big enough garage. :fingerscrossed:

:wrenching: Torredcuda I am in the same boat; selling my house in NC and trying to find a house in Al. with acreage to build a multicar garage. Not easy especially if your on a tight budget, but I am trying to find an angle to make it to Carlisle.

Ya, working man`s budget is always a problem, we find a decent house but the budget doesn`t allow us to build a detached garage/shop and everything else is just overpriced or we can`t afford it. We just put an offer in on a foreclosure that needs a lot of cosmetic work but solid house, has a 2 car under so I`ll need an oversized 2 car for my shop. If we get it it will pushing the budget a little but under our max qualifying amount and it will have instant equity with just some paint and carpet which will hopefully allow us to afford to move south in a year or so.
