I know this is about your Memorial Day, but here in Canada we also use the term "lest we forget" and the sad reality is that many do indeed forget. They forget the sacrifices, lives ruined and lost so that they can make that forgetfulness and it seems only right that we, the unforgetting, realize the debt owed and, as mentioned, shout out "Lest we forget!" on these occasions!
