I just bought a 1970 Challenger that is a V02 white car with blue painted roof and blue interior. I was wondering if it is really a rare car. The car has been painted all white and interior has been changed to black but fender tag shows two tone car. I can't find any pictures of white challengers with blue roof but I did fined picture of cuda with same combo. Any help would awesome.
Never seen one either! Nice find!
Welcome to the site from Michigan! Sounds like a cool car . . More pictures please! :clapping:
Welcome aboard from Atlanta!

That is a rare and cool Challenger :wowzers:
Pearl Harbor. I didn't even make that connection. That's pretty cool!
Unique colour combo for sure...unfortunate it's on a 318 car and not some big block RT model... :alan2cents:

I've got a 68 Coronet R/T Vert that has a SPD of 911... I found it back in early September of 2001..... Bought it Sept 10th & was supposed to bring it home on September 11th.... That morning we were attacked... I called the guy I bought the car from & told him I didn't think it was a good day for such a insignificant task as dragging a car home.... He said his wife wanted it gone so do it today or she might have it hauled to scrap.... I towed it home... Then discovered it's SPD........
looks like total base Challenger "JH23" with two-tone paint (V02) for 1970 ~1.8% (~995 cars)
this would be ONLY the 4th I've heard of 8)
Welcome to the site from Panama
Welcome from CO! Sounds like a great color combination!
Wow nice seen that code on one or two cudas but not many on the challenger awesome :australia:
Welcome from Colorado, neat car
SO out of 995 challengers this may be one of 4 it's this color combo?

No I think that Dan has ever only heard of four 1970 Challengers with V02 paint despite the colour combo......It's very rare. A friend of mine restored the purple/white RT that is kicking around...
Here's my buddies old V02 car

So i guess ive got a pretty rare car and it looks like i will be putting her back to factory. Do you think that the car would be worth more because of the rarity or worth about the same as any other 318 challenger?
Could any available 1970 color be ordered for the top color?
i dont think so. i have only been able to find that they offered 4 colors. Black, white, blue, and red.

In order for the car to hold any value it would have to be restored 100% back to the broadcast sheet. The same way it was built in 1970.
The rarity of the colour combo will add a little extra value, and perhaps more desirability, but at the end of the day it will still be a 318 Challenger and most likely worth a third of the cost of the restoration.
Now if you start modifying the car, say keeping the colour combo and making it a 440 RT clone, you're really just taking away from the uniqueness of the car and just making another modified car with a fender tag for good conversation.
There are more out there than some might expect.
And more colors than those 4.
all colors were available in the two-tone combinations, with the following restrictions
from the resources library (1970 Challenger color & trim)
https://www.e-bodies.org/resources/data-books-salesman-pocket-facts-color-upholstery-guides/1970-dodge-color-upholstery-selector/
ANY other exterior color.
Now that's pretty cool !

I do love the V02 option cars. :inlove:
I had an FY1 with A black roof and black longitudinal stripe with black interior on A 383 4-speed R/T challenger.
QuoteANY other exterior color.
That could get interesting...
Imagine a pink or purple roof. With a pink or purple roof, the main exterior color would have to match the interior color.(per the above document) That would make for a somewhat bland looking car I think.
I've seen white, black, red, blue, green and tan(gold) roofs. I've got a picture somewhere of a 71 Barracuda GC from under the tent at the Mopar Nats years ago. It was F8 w/green interior and a Y4 gold roof.
My A66 Challenger has the V02 option with EW1 top and B5 body, bright blue interior.
Here's another, #s matching eng and 4 speed trans
WOW...that is a cool car :drooling:
And an A66, too!

Too bad it doesn't have a blue butt stripe

Stripe delete because of V5X vinyl side moldings...

Interesting car, almost like a Saint Louis blues challenger instead of barracuda. :alan2cents:
Oh wow!! Very nice find. I love that option but have never seen one. On my wish list for sure. 8)
