Title: Question on quarter window felts.
Post by: gaddied on April 29, 2020, 02:08:01 PM
So my Cuda was painted 10 years ago before I bought it. I bought the Top cat felt kit to replace the worn felts.
When I was looking at the rear of the quarter window I noticed there is a gap at the end on the outer felt. Is this right? Shouldn't be sealed in the back of the window to body? I was wondering if they installed the outer felts wrong after they painted .
The Top cat outer felt has a notch at one end . Does the notch go to the front or rear on the body panel ?

Can some one please look to see how your quarter window felts are installed ?

I'm actually experiencing the same thing.  Same brand.  I was thinking that the gaskets that go around the top of the window opening would fill this gap in, but judging by your photo, apparently not.  Hoping someone can shed some light on this too.

That looks right. On my 70 challenger, the original window felt ended there. The one piece track that holds the glass seal should sit in that little gap area.
