Looks like it is in great shape. Hope we get to follow the build. Cheers.
I'll go into more detail tomorrow, but it also left the factory with NO vinyl top, so that is how it will be restored. :bigthumb:
So check out this vinyl top ... Factory ?
Colum shift Baby...Oh yea :wowzers:
Number's matching block...EVERYTHING else for it was in the trunk...

Teaser shot for @198D13 (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/198d13_124) although it's NOT an A/C pad...it is a 100% mint original 1970 GREEN Barracuda dash pad...I never thought I would see one in my lifetime :woohoo:
Alan: I also have a perfect mint 1970 single speaker green non A/C pad, for one of my other green on green 1970 Barracuda's. That roof is the same material that came on 1971 Plymouth Fury Gran Coupes.
I wish this car was coded for this roof, or that we had proof of a dealership installation or something....it's pretty cool and I think installed at the dealership because the trim is all factory stuff. The car will be restored without a vinyl top :dunno:
WOW on the green pad...they must be as rare as hens teeth for sure...
I got it from a guy in Ontario! That roof pattern, paisley, was standard on ALL 1971 Plymouth Fury Gran Coupe cars.

If mine I would keep that roof.

I AGREE
That roof is pretty unique, I've never seen that before! Kinda cool really!
A little off topic but Alan or any other members who desire those paisley tops for your project, you could contact Nigel at National Moparts.
20 years ago I traded him 10 NOS vinyl tops in their factory Mopar shipping tube, same style as seen in the first photo as well as some as seen in the second photo.
He may have sold them all by now to the land yacht crowd
Those are cool...Nigel probably made curtains for his home out of them :haha:
275439 nice to see its finally getting out and restored. Did they ever find the numbers matching motor???
Someone sent me a couple pix a while back.. A family member or friend of the family possibly. And Ill have to check but I thought they sent a shot of the dash tag with them and that was the vin. Said it wasn't numbers matching but had a T/A motor in it. and the family wasn't sure what they were going to do as far as keeping it or selling it.
Interesting, maybe a different car ? I was told the numbers block is in the car, but honestly I haven't checked yet...
This car I'm doing did just change hands from a long term family ownership where the Father had past :andyangel: to a guy that really doesn't know much about old muscle cars, other than they are rare and expensive. :looney:
I am fairly certain that vinyl top was a dealer add on. Probably done before delivery. Yes, you see some of these tops on larger Mopars. I might keep it as well.
This car is coming right along...paint work is about half done....and Scott has the carbs finished :drooling:
Been a while, but after a lot of metal work and tiring amounts of body work....My body guys have knocked out another one....Can't wait to turn some wrenches on this one....Keep an eye out for it this Summer at Moparfest !
The hood sure was badly warped in the pictures in the first post. Did your body guys fix that hood, or is that a replacement?

Got her all spit shined up ready for Moparfest this weekend....If you go to the show then be sure to look inside the arena at the special display cars....
I put 25 miles on it today...working great !
Love it!
Nice!
Looks great! :takealook:
I saw it in person, absolutely stunning. My vocabulary isn't sufficient for enough adjectives. Super owners too, very personable to talk with.
