Title: Build sheets
Post by: js27 on June 06, 2018, 08:17:51 AM
Anybody know why they used two different build sheets ? My original is a printer with a light blue  with black copy and the other is multi colored. Both 70 R/Ts- one is a JS23NOB and mine is JS27 NOB

More than one build sheet was used per car.  The person assembling the dash used one, then people on the assembly line used one as well.  There were probably others used in different parts of the plant.  Different parts of the plant had different printers maybe?

Early/late thing.  Your blue/white sheet will have a lower serial number than the multi-colored sheet.

 :iagree:

the year started with the blue mono-tone "F-SERIES" 1970 sheet (same color & size as used in '69)
for reasons unknown - some "E-SERIES" 1969 sheets were used during 9/69-10/69 *** causes much confusion trying to decode  :pullinghair:
the revised multi-colored "F-SERIES" sheets showed up mid-model-year
some mono-tone "F-SERIES" sheets were used during summer '70 production

Yes my car the blue sheet had a 11-20-69 build date and the multi color sheet was a 7-13-70 build date.

those are "SCHEDULED" production dates "ACTUAL" is sometimes a week "early" to a month "late"
