Book early to reserve your room with the group! Carlisle 2020 will be amazing! :bigthumb:
These are listed in order of price range with the first one being the cheapest and last the most expensive . .
I'm surprised "sorry staying elsewhere" is the most expensive option. :D
I can't see myself staying at the Capital Inn unless that place gets a makeover. You can't argue with the price though, if you are budget minded.
I'll check them all out tonight, then make my reservation.
Thanks for doing the leg work for us Dave.
EDIT: I'm booked at the Holiday Inn Express.
Booked at the Fairfield! (Marriott Bonvoy rewards... ;-) )
Ben
Please make sure you vote on the poll so we can track where everyone is staying .. :bigthumb:
I just booked La Quinta. I checked them and Holiday Inn. H I booking was painful. L Q was awesome and much cheaper.
Neil and I are splitting on a room at . La Quinta all booked
FYI ..... I paid $99 for Thursday and $119 for Friday/Saturday nights via Expedia
Just booked La Quinta. :woohoo:
Does Fairfield or Holiday Inn have good trailer parking?
I don't recall seeing very good trailer parking at Holiday Inn when I stayed there in 17. I don't know about Fairfield.
We will put the trailers somewhere . . Never had a issue in this area. :bigthumb:
All booked at La Quinta as well.
For those that booked at La Quinta, did you do so on-line or over the phone. Just want to know the least hassle method.
Whenever I went to the Nat's another guy used to book a block of rooms for all of us.

We tried the block of rooms one year and discovered that our rate was higher than booking separately! Members were going online to make reservations and getting a better deal than our block rate . . So we stopped doing that.

I made mine online via expedia
Thanks for the replies. I just got off the phone with La Quinta and am booked. She gave me a price of $103.55 + tax per night. Does that sound like everyone else? She also said she gave me the senior's discount.
Edit#2: That price was for a one king room.

Does Fairfield or Holiday Inn have good trailer parking?
Josh,
I hope I can ease your mind. I would not count on finding a spot for your trailer at Holiday Inn(small parking lot). Just across the street is the Capital Inn, and the Fairfield parking lot is adjacent to that. Our Saturday night pizza party is in the Capital Inn parking lot. If you can't find room there, the Fairfield parking lot is huge. Like I said, all these Hotels are close together.
I just booked holiday inn.
I couldn't get Saturday night at Fairfield with two beds. Only the 3 days before that. So I just went with Holiday.
Can't wait!
I had wanted to try the Fairfield out last year (this year) but we ended up at the Park Inn, so I'm going to try it next year. With Ash and Mel, plus all the stuff we usually bring, we always fill up our room. So I got us a nice room with the mini-kitchen so we can handle any last-minute food prep which we typically end up doing at Carlisle. :)
Good Jab Jason! :pokeeye: Haven't had one since Moparfest!

@Spikedog08 (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/4cruzin_11) I know we plan on using the Capital Inn parking lot for our evening activities but so far no one is staying there. Could this be a problem?
I don't see a problem. The last two times we used that parking lot, most of us were staying elsewhere. Let's just hope that parking lot light in the back parking area is working this year. It wasn't one year. The Fairfield Inn next door has a big parking lot, but most of it isn't lit.
Not a problem... Just start a thirty foot high bonfire..... :vipermanhiding:
:veryexcited: We're booked at La Quinta :veryexcited:
Two of us are staying at the Towne Place Suites in Mechanicsburg. Not far. Always stop at the Dunkin' Donuts across the street from these hotels on the way to Carlisle.
Booked at Holiday Inn Express. :woohoo:
:Thud: Trying to book hotel and nothing is available; search continues.... :fingerscrossed:

Where did you look? The Holiday Inn Express in New Cumberland still has rooms available. That's where I'm staying.
:wrenching: I first tried to get a hotel room @ Carlisle Barracks and they were booked because of some school in July and they referred me to the Holiday Inn and they told me they had nothing available.....
I would be very surprised if the 4 hotels in our area are booked up!

20-25 minutes depending on traffic .... and less if your driving a Mopar! :haha:

Like Brad said, but it depends on when you leave to get there. I leave before 7 AM and have no traffic. It's a straight shot West down the PA turnpike from the Hotels. If you want to avoid the Turnpike tolls, you can take 581 to 11 to get there, but you'll have to deal with traffic lights. I can't give you an estimate on that drive time.
Just in case any of you are staying/or booked at the Park Inn/Mechanicsburg; where some of you stayed last year. It is now closed for good. Soon to be a shopping center supposedly. It's too bad as over the last 20+ years we've had some great times there but every year that went by it just got worse and worse with no upkeep. Management use to cater to the car groups and go over and above to make sure we were happy. It was evident they were going down or at least switching hands so we pulled the plug on them and stayed closer last year.
:wrenching: Thanks to all; just need to find a pet friendly hotel. Barky Von-Shepard needs to tag along on trip. Search continues.....
Has anyone booked at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center Harrisburg West, 148 Sheraton Drive, New Cumberland?
In the same area & looks like it has a decent sized parking lot.

It is on the other side of the main road by the McDonalds .. certainly close but not quite walking distance. Don't think anyone has booked there in the last few years . ..
Just confirmed, I'm in. My first time and bringing the car!

I just booked a hotel in our group! I cancelled my other reservation and booked at the Super 8 where our parking lot party is located and for the entire stay of 4 nights . . . $195.33. My other reservation was for $430 and change . . . I was lucky to be able to cancel the other that said there was no cancellation . . .
Just cancelled my reservations at the Fairfield Inn for Friday and Saturday. :(
Just cancelled mine at Holiday Inn Express, decided to skip this year. :(

So you are not coming? @jeff968 (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/jeff968_6373)
Sorry to say, no. My Caravan of 6 cars disappeared and I'm not prepared to do the 5 hour drive in the TA by myself. And I am all registered so they have my money. Oh well, next year.
Canceled my Airbnb, I had to back out this year for a few reasons
Work has us requesting travel permissions, even personal, if out of state. They are trying to prevent increased cases. I was strongly discouraged from going. It is a 20 hour drive for me and too much at risk right now with work. They even asked us to sign a pledge
I was so pumped to go too

Jeff, it's worth a phone call. Tell them because of Covid-19 you can not make it and would like to use your 2020 registration for 2021....worth a phone call :dunno:
I also just recieved my registration, not sure about a refund? I decided not to go for a few reasons - don`t want to have to wear a mask at food courts, restaurants, stores etc., don`t want to make the 8 hr drive and pay all the $$ for hotel etc. and be dissapointed in the turnout of cars and parts, no car to bring again so maybe get some work done on mine on the time off work and as most still just a BIT worried about the virus. I`m sure it will still be a good time just not worth it for me this year.
From what we hear up here in the news about our "neighbors to the South" and the tremendous amount of new cases every day of this crazy virus....I don't think I would want to go anywhere....it sounds like it out of control in some States :looney:
We have very few cases here in New Hampshire and Massachusetts where I work seems to on the decline but still lots of flare ups in some areas, going to be that way for a while longer I`m afraid.
Still coming from Maine, no car but will see you all there
I'm out too. :( Cannot justify the cost/ travel time with the risk of exposure. I feel safe with the club, just not with the rest of the potential yahoos at show. :bye:

...And Me!
Well there is 6 of us then as I know cudahunter is coming . . Ashley is coming with Viperboy. I assume Cudagirl's hubby Mark will be there but I don't know if he is a member here or not . .
Glad we didn't pay for a larger tent this year. Looking like the pizza party and dinner crowd will be minimal.
:dunno:
Stupid China virus is messing with all kinds a shit . .
Just dropped in while sitting on the fence. I need a ROAD TRIP! What's 12 hours in a cool car, to see old friends. What is the address of your Super8? I have till tomorrow afternoon to cancel my Roadway Inn Next to the grounds. I can still change it to this one if you give me an address Dave.
Rob
Thanks Dave. Booked a room and saved over $100. Should be in my 70. I haven't driven it much sinc I built my 5.7 Cuda. This one needs some love for being 50.

That's awesome Rob! Look forward to the show. Your ride is longer than mine . . Curious how the toll road is going to work . . I think Ohio is still collecting money but Pennsylvania is not. They send you a bill in the mail. . .
Thanks for reminding me to grab my E-ZPass. I stopped at the first visitor's center when I entered PA last year on the RapidTransit Tour and bought one, so I could fly through the tolls without stopping. Look into buying one.

Who is this Newbie? He sounds shady to me.
Hey Rob,
I'm just messing with you. It will be great to see you again. How many miles do you have on that black 2010 SE now? At last count, you were beyond 200K.
2010 was rear ended by a truck in July of 2018 then totaled by The insurance co. I bought a 2015 Sxt which a deer then hit in Dec 2019, causing $7600 in damage. I upgraded to a Hellcat hood. See you soon!
Great to see you on the site Rob
Sadly I will not see you at the show :bye:
Sorry to not see you another year Neil! Glad to hear from you too. If you see any copies of the April 2020 Mopar Action, My 5.7 Cuda is featured on p34.
Like I said before, I'm a heavy user on the e-bodies.org Facebook page and that's where I usually hang out everyday.
Stay safe buddy. We don't want to end up one of the numbers!
