Do you have a 3 speed wiper motor on your e-body?
1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974 Cuda and Challenger (E-Body) Wiper Date Codes only. This can help people when they are missing their original wiper motor and want to find a date that should be correct for their car.
Dates are shown as 4 digit numbers on the wiper motor. For example, 1170 would be the 117th day of 1970. SPD is Scheduled Production Date and is found on the fender tag. For Example, 917 would be 9th month and 17th day (Aug 17th) of the production year.
Post your Wiper Date / SPD and I will update the list

Could the intention of this thread be clarified? Are you looking for members who still have their original 3 speed motors on their cars, or just want everyone to post what they have chosen to install regardless of if it was the original one or not?
I have 3 cars with them, on each I installed a wiper motor dated a month or so prior to the car's build. But sadly none of the cars had their original parts on them when I bought them, so my choice was just an educated guess.
Working in manufacturing I can tell you their has always been variation on when parts are received and when they were installed. Unless you have your original or documentation of what was on it, you will never know, so like me you try to find one dated 4-8 weeks prior to your build date and call it good.

It seems the red insulating varnish disappears early 70 and comes back in 72 although I have seen some in that time frame with it on them. Could be replacement motors.
I have 3 vender codes here.
Prestolite 73691(went bankrupt date unknow) seems to 70 A/B and earlier based on what I have on hand and pics
I'm assuming 73692 is Prestolite( status unknow at this time) 70 E and most everything after 71
7280 unknow at this time so far I have only found these on 0820. I see these mostly on AAR's and T/A's. Could be a separate department for quick turnaround orders
This motor has signs of Glyptal on it.

Were the over the counter rebuild kits for the wiper motors be a possible explanation of the differences in switch plates?
It looks like Ma Mopar had several different kits over the years, the kit below looks like it is from '73 and has the plastic switch cover for example.
From the Ebay ad I grabbed the picture from :
"NOS Mopar 3620736 variable or 3 speed windshield wiper motor plate and latch repair package as pictured for 1969 1970 1971 1972 1973 1974 Plymouth, Dodge, Chrysler vehicles. FYI:
The first 3431 077 made had a date 0f 1609, every motor made after that was dated seven days later until the end of 1971 production. So, 1609, 1679, 1749, 1819, 1889, etc, etc. The last date for 1969 would be 3639, then the first date into 1970 would be 0050. If a date does not correspond exactly with this lineage, it is because someone has stamped a barrel himself, and it is not original. There are no exceptions.
BTW, the exact same dates and rules also apply to blower motors(A/C and non A/C) for your heater box, again on E Body cars.

I am fascinated by the fastination with 3-speed wipers. I get that they were an upgrade, and look cooler but doesn't feel like a brag point. I seriously doubt if many/any on here drive their E-Body in the rain (:
I'm sure you can tell I have a lowly 2-speed :-[

I don't think there is any 3-speed wiper motor bragging going on here, just people geeking out about date codes. Probably one of the very few parts that has an easily viewed date code when the hood is open.

I wasn't just referring to this post, have seen several of people looking for (geeking out) about them. Your explanation makes sense, I kinda wish other parts had that much identifiable info. Meant no offense, just find it kinda funny.
