Title: Dome light housing (interchangability?)
Post by: FSHTAIL on November 12, 2017, 12:14:30 AM
I'm going to get my cars headliner redone and I was wondering if there's another model of mopar or any other car that looks the same for the housing/lens, but uses a festoon style bulb?

I want to use an LED in it and the 1004 LED's seem to be too tall or don't work well.

Anyone?(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171112/029a6bf7704905803ec32289a526d47d.jpg)

The housing would be pretty easy to modify and mount a festoon style bulb in it with the same stock lens.   Since all the factory wiring is hidden under the headliner I would think you could make a few holes to hold the new wires and bulb.  :alan2cents:

I have a Shoreline Marine 1004 LED, got on Amazon.
A little expensive, $13, but fit and function has been perfect for 3 years now.
