Title: Hood pins and latch setup question
Post by: Shoooter on September 20, 2019, 08:37:57 PM
I installed my hood spring, hood latch release and the hood catch today. I have the hood sitting flush with everything right now when closed. I haven't installed my hood pins yet. My question is, is the hood held closed mostly by the pins or the latch? Would i set up the pins so they are easy to push in or do you have to push down the hood to get them in alittle. I could always set the pin height then lower the latch. Not sure what the best way is.

The hood is held closed mostly by the latch.  The hood pins are just window dressing.

 :iagree:
If the hood sits properly without the pins & would have the pins above the hood plates by1/8" or so to prevent scratching the plates

Thank you . I figured that was probably the way it was done.
