Title: 70 Challenger - Trunk Detail Question
Post by: Floyd on March 25, 2020, 11:52:01 AM
I have a 70 Challenger with its original trunk floor (401 SPD).  Are these three small holes supposed to be there? If so, what are they for.  They appear to be stamped or at least drilled neatly.

No they should not be there in my opinion, and it's a shame they weren't welded up prior to paint  :'(

You're probably right.  Bummer, but I'll live.

Maybe dab seam sealer and a little color over that.  :alan2cents:

Yep, I'll go the seam sealer route.  I need to touch up the are over by the P/S tip hanger bracket anyway.

Thanks

maybe that was a mount for a fire-extinguisher back in the day.  you could put one in and use the holes!

Tidy looking holes, they almost look like they were punched.

That's what I thought.  Probably why we missed them prior to paint.
