Title: Dash Pad Nut Size for 71 Challlenger
Post by: Daveh on November 09, 2017, 08:54:35 PM
Hey guys,

I'm assembling the dash outside of the car and I have a brand new dash pad but it's been packed away in a box for five years. Can anyone tell me the nut size that goes on the studs?  I don't want to force one on and strip the threads. I'll put a little grease on with the correct nut and that should get them started. They just aged a little sitting for 5 years. Thanks.

Dave

Thanks mine has them also I think I even have some new ones here at the house.  I just thought they were regular nuts not barrel nuts.  Thanks

I believe it works better with regular nuts and a washer rather than the pal nuts. The pal nut can strip a little easier.
