Title: powersteering fluid type

what was, or should be used for power steering fluid in a 'cuda with a Saginaw pump?

mineral or synthetic?
I also hear people using ATF+4?
pro's / con's , thoughts etc.

I would use regular.  We used to put atf in them all the time but as the power steering fluid is readily advailable, why not just use it?

Synthetic may be more leakage prone.

When I had my box converted to a level 3,  I asked about fluid. I'm 99% sure it was full sythetic Mercon trand fluid is what I was told. And did! I can check tonite if you like.
