***NOT FOR ME****
I have a friend looking for one.... 8)
The baddest looking car on the planet!
That's going to be a tough one to find Alan.
I had a chance many years ago to buy one off Chuck Pierce in NH.
He was restoring two for a customer in NH.
The first one was restored and then they had a bit of a falling out. The other one ended up at Chucks for a long time due to lack of payment....??
The owner had about a week left before it was officially Chucks and he showed up with a new buyer who bought the done car from the NH owner and the project one at Chucks. They squared up on the bill and away they went.
I spoke to that buyer a few years back as he had one listed on Ebay for sale.
He still had the second one, they were both four speed cars.
No contact info however so not much help.
Good luck Alan.
Good luck finding one. Have only seen one years ago, almost bought it. Would like to see one after you go through it
Yea ...I know.....I told my friend he was asking for a needle in a haystack....
A good friend of mine, local here has one with white interior....and I know a couple of members here have them, but I don't expect to find an affordable one anytime soon....
I chased another one local to me, but it turns out to have been a FE5 car painted black in the very early 70's.....had me fooled all these years....
There are 35 TX9 AAR's known to still exist, so you might be able to find one, but it will definitely cost you..... :bigmoney:

A good documented example numbers matching, restored correctly......$150K-$165K probably, maybe more to the right buyer? Automatic would not bring it down that much. I don't really follow sales of TX9 cars closely...

That's about 30k-40k light.
You're probably right...not a lot of AAR's topple $200K, but if they did, they would have to be black... :alan2cents:
For around 3 years ago i could have bought a TX9 AAR with matching# 4-speed and with the H6XW white interior for 150K$ in nicly restored condition..
Not sure if they have gone up or down since... Top dollar is depending on: matching# car / documents / 4spd or auto / And HOW the car is restored..

Wrong master cylinder.
If you're nic-pickin ...the road lamps should not be yellow....the PCV should be orange etc...
Yeah: For $150k maybe buy a better rad cap too.
I guess this is the difference between a $150k TX9 AAR and a $200k TX9 AAR
:D
Ha, ha: Perhaps you're right.
Has an AAR ever sold for $200K? The highest sale I've seen was Tim Welborns high option survivor AAR that IIRC brought close to $200K. If any AAR was going to bring $200K, it would likely be TX9, but even then, all the right boxes would need checked; survivor or top quality OE restoration, D21, paperwork back to day one, etc.
I'm sure there are high dollar private sales that aren't public knowledge, but still 200 large seems optimistic for a Trans Am E body.
I'll take 2 please! Also a black 71 cuda with black billboards . . . Thanks!
