Title: Big block valve cover spacers
Post by: Filthy Filbert on January 04, 2023, 05:28:36 PM
These are aluminum spacers, 3/8" thick to use with big block heads for that 'sleeper' look.  Use stock valve covers with high lift cams and not worry about valve train clearances with the valve covers.   I think these were $125 new.   They've been mounted, painted, then media blasted clean.    The guy I bought them for decided he wanted aftermarket valve covers and didn't need these.

$75 shipped  obo.

Interesting, not surprised they exist buy have never heard of such a thing. So do they require 2 sets of gaskets? Seems like they would still be obvious.

It's been awhile, I think I had used RTV for the spacer to the head, then a gasket between the valve cover and the spacer.

Sure, they're 'obvious' to someone who's going to scrutinize the engine when it's fully dressed and in the car, but at casual glance, they don't exactly stand out either.
