anyone know what movie in the 2nd one had all the black Challengers in futuristic trim?
In Time with justin timberlake had the modernized Challs
The orange Challenger in the 2nd video at about 4:30 had 70 grill and 72-4 tail lights.
I was watching Smokey and The Bandit with my boys the other night and noticed a 72-74 Challenger on the highway during the convoy towards the :17 mark.
just watched the movie 'Upgrade' that had this nice Challenger. didn't show it much, but had this nighttime chase scene
Just curious if anyone knows anything about the 'Cuda at 2:02 in Trains "Drive By" video. Appears to have been filmed in Southern California (?) but I've never been there  :bradsthumb:

Ec_co...... how about the '70 Challenger in the 2016 movie"Bad Moms". Thanks, Al
That ones doesn't look like it was too mint.
We have a fair amount of Mopars in movies, and TV shows....Like Dukes, Bullet, VP, Christine etc....
Do the Chevy and Ford guys have the same amount ? Maybe Bullet for the Ford guys, Smokie/Bandit for GM guys.... What else ?
Let's not forget this classic, especially in October.

I just saw the movie Jumanji 2 and there is a beautiful red 70 Challenger in a garage full of other cars -trucks. Funny movie too.

I really dig checking out films from about 72-78 when these cars were turning from new to old and being seen as beaters. The streets were full of them as well as more run of the mill pedestrian models like Satellites, Tempests, Cutlass', Torinos, and Galaxies. Not to mention Pintos, Vegas, Opels, Colts and a host of other new for the times, small cars.
Good street scenes can usually be found in cop movies from the era like Serpico, the Dirty Harry series, Assault on Precinct 13, original Death Wish, Dog Day Afternoon, Taxi Driver, the French Connection....
Cobra Kai. Remake of the original Karate Kid but 34 years later. Ralph Macchio, William Zabka & Martin Kove reprise their roles. Currently on Netflix.

One movie that comes to mind with Peter Fonda 1974. In the Dodge Charger Dirty Mary Crazy Larry :australia:
One Way To Valhalla - main star is an AAR
Since it's the season here's a plug for
The Christmas Chronicles (09 Challenger with lots of screen time)
Here's a couple of shots from a movie called Velvet Vampire in the 70's. A buddy of mine owns the 71 cuda convertible in it
Gone in 60 Seconds, the original. Multiple scenes showing the VIN switcheroo from wrecked auction purchase Chally to stolen Chally.
I was 8 years old when this came out. i was pretty upset that they would wreck these cars lol. https://youtu.be/dfvTR1HfpuQ
The late 60s early 70s tv show mannix has all sorts of mopars. It has your hotrods as well as every day chrysler, dodge, and plymouth cars. Just caught an episode a couple days ago and it was fun looking for them. Of course I'm not saying you should turn it in to a drinking game. LOL
Beverly Hillbillys had a lot of Mopars.
There is a brief scene early in American Gangster where a black Challenger drives by in the background when Denzel is entering a store.
I have also seen a 71 Challenger R/T in an old Columbo episode from 1972.
Sorry, can't catch the images at this moment.

I was a BIG Mannix fan growing up. When Mike Conners passed away, I bought the whole series of the show. Mannix drove A-body Darts, then E-body Cuda's. Then a '73 Challenger. What really pained me, was the last year of the series, he drove a Camaro. :crying:
Stayed up late watching this creepy movie about Witches etc.
Called Crow Haven Farm
Then this 70 Red Convertible Challenger rolls up.
She gets out of the car from a guy she hitches a ride from and her husband starts accusing her on "looking the other way"

Gas Pump Girls (1979)
72-74 Barracuda. Not sure which year but it's very pedestrian looking.
I didn't read the whole thread but anyone mention the red Chall vert in Natural Born Killers ?
MIAMI VICE tv series... yellow 1971 shaker hooded 'Cuda converts!... driven by actor Don Johnson... that was a cool TV series back then!
1957 Dodge Royal 4dr hardtop. Dad has had it since the early 80's. Original paint car / survivor. Was used in a couple of films done in Virginia. Hearts in Atlantis which this shot is from and Love Field at the end of the flick. Cool experiences pop had. Production company for Hearts picked it up with a trailer and the actors drive it on the closed set. Pop got to drive in the scene for Love Field.

I know, the TV series with the '71 Cuda vert was also called Nash Bridges. Don Johnson (Sonny Crockett) did not drive a Cuda in Miami Vice.
For John Wick fans.. New movie coming out "Nobody" with Bob Odenkirlk (Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul).
73 or 74 Challenger hard tell.
Warning: Red Band Trailer - contains F bombs etc.

JayBee -- T/Anks... Its been many years ago.. my TV watching was more active in the 80s for Miami Vice ... vs the 90s with Nash Bridges.
Not a movie but I remember a hip hop Adidas commercial a few years ago with a B7 Challenger in it.
Chicago PD -- TV movies series as currently on so many channels... has late model Dodge Durangos and Chargers as under-cover police cars.
The daughter was watching this when I walked in.

Two Lane Blacktop.
Opening scene has " Big Willie's" Hemi Daytona drag racing, with Big Willie himself signaling the start. Big Willie was ? founder of the Los Angelos Street racing club , and they initially would drag race on a closed portion of road in an industrial complex ?, and later would rent out a drag strip for real heads up racing. I believe that hemi daytona was damaged, and is no longer with us. Next car up is a '70 AAR Cuda, although it is referred to in the movie as having a hemi. It loses to the chevy !!

Spotted a 62-63 Imperial in the Pilot episode of Charlie's Angels, just a few brief shots parked beside the House the Farrah was pretending to be a hick swamp girl.
Recent rerun of Rosanne.
There was a made for TV movie called HOTROD. The main guy drove a 65 Hemi coronet and was going to a drag race sponsored by Munn's root beer if I am remembering this right. It was a long time ago. His rival was the oldest kid from eight is enough (Grant ?) driving a 70 Olds cutlass. The guy (?) wrecks the coronet street racing so he finds a 41 willys to put the hemi in. This was stolen and the motor blown up. So ? steals another hemi out of a cop car --gets back in the race for the dramatic conclusion. The acting was so bad, a definite B movie, it would be fun to see again. Must of come out in the late 70's. Now I'm really dating myself. I think Robert Culp was the main bad guy.
My wife decided to check out the new 2020 Hardy Boys series, she likes goofy mystery shows. Anyway to my surprise there was a green 70 Challenger R/T parked on the street in a couple of brief scenes in the town, Bridgeport. 2nd episode it showed up briefly and more close up. Now I'm wondering if it won't play a bigger role in other episodes, there are 13. I'll try to pause and get a screen shot when we watch more.

Excellent memory !! Watched it a couple nights ago. Yes, the coronet is a '65. I think the olds is a '69, very similar to '70. Yes, Culp is the bad guy.
Here is a still of the Challenger on Hardy Boys no R/T emblem, fans of Schwinn String Rays would like this too.

My Parents took me to the Winchester Drive Inn back in the Summer of 1971.
I was 11 years old. Now keep in mind, the best movies of course, were
R rated. They hid me in the trunk on the way into the Drive Inn.
First up: The Omega Man starring Charlton Heston. Great Movie. Still a great Flick.
The Big Feature: Vanishing Point.
It actually had 2 endings. One with the big crash and one he gets by. You decided.

Folks used to take me and my sis to the Union City drive in... saw a lot of movies when we were supposed to be asleep in the back seat. I remember seeing Jaws... still don't like to go into the dark water off the coast and the wife and I dive... scarred for life... lol.
I hate seeing cars wrecked on per pus. I see the left fender healed it self though. :headbang:

Yep I saw the advertisement and ended up watching it.
Doesn't end well for the Challenger.
Bit of a Charles Bronson Death wish and Mr and Mrs smith vibe.

Cool Cuda in this Swedish bands music video.
Here's a picture from the chase scene in the original Gone in 60 Seconds. Looks like this one was a 71 Barracuda Grand Coupe with a front rubber bumper. Pretty rare combo.
Not movies, but a couple of music videos that heavily feature e-bodies.
First up is an 80's metal video by a Danish band named Pretty Maids for a song titled "Future World" The star of the video is a Cuda, it has a Vanishing Point feel to it.
There's also the Vanishing Point inspired video that Audioslave did for "Show Me How To Live"
Apparently the Cuda in the Future World video has been in a few other Music videos.. It starts it's appearance in Aaron Tippins Kiss This Video shortly after the 2:30 mark...
Brooks & Dunn My Heart is Lost to You features it as well
It was for sale ~5 years ago

Watched a documentary a few weeks ago about the Night Stalker Richard Ramirez. One of his victims had a Barracuda / Cuda in their driveway.
Watching episode 2 of the Billion Dollar Code on Netflix and as they are walking in to the Silicon Graphincs HQ there is a Challenger in the middle of the building. :)
How about an old Aussie Film (Running on Empty), where the bad guy drives a 1970 Challenger R/T called Fox-1?

I watched it, and it's kind of disappointing from that standpoint. The Cuda comes and goes within the first 2 minutes of the movie. He does replace it with a current gen "Hellcat Challenger Convertible"
The Infiltrator 2016 - John Leguizamo's Barracuda
I was disappointed to see a new challenger replace the 71 cuda on Nash Bridges the other day. What a tease😩. That car needed something to break up all that yellow. Speaking of 71 Cuda's, late night tv was playing the old Mannix tv series and he's driving a dark green 71 Barracuda.
Anybody watching Marvel's Hawkeye on Disney+ ?

I didn't see this movie mentioned, but I remember seeing it once years ago and never ran across it again. I see it's available free on YouTube, at least for now. The movie was 'Firebird 2015 AD' from 1981 with Darrin McGavin. I remembered a Barracuda in it, didn't rewatch it, but scanned it earlier today. A Firebird gets the title credit, but a ratty 72 to 74 Barracuda is in quite a few scenes.

Been listening to this band for years but never saw this video before. It's got a '70 Challenger in it, some hot chicks, and some weird stuff. hehe
Queens of the Stone Age got some bad ass tunes!!
Watched Man From Toronto the other night with Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson. Decent movie with a black 69 Charger.
Has anyone ever noticed in season 4 of the wire, after the new mayor won the job he got public works to go tow junk cars off the streets. I am almost positive they are dragging a 70 cuda convertible up on the flat bed??
Watched an old episode of the TV show Mannix last night and he was driving a 73 Cuda convertible! It had the 73 grill, taillights and even had the rubber bumper guards. I thought I read that they kept the same original 70 car and just replaced the grill and tail panel as the years went by.
The oddest place to find a Cuda....the upcoming Wakanda Forever movie....
Check out the trailer at the 1:20 mark...
My wife was watching an old Columbo movie season 1 episode 2 I think, I saw a B5 Blue Challenger with a white R/T stripe convertible about 10 or so minutes in.
I saw another clip from "Wakanda Forever". It appears the 'Cuda will be wrecked. Either that or it can fly. :) well, there goes a couple more E-bodies out of circulation forever... :madashell:

While some are still wrecked, I think some of the car destruction in movies today may be computer generated graphics? At least I like to think so.
Watched it last night, I think they smoked a >72 Cuda for real. There were at least two... The car was a big part of the movie, I heard guys in the audience go "Wo, that's a Cuda" LoL... Nice to have one in my shop :) I was elbowing the wife every time the car was on the screen.

I showed my wife the John Wick clip with the 'Cuda and she's like "You're never getting rid of that car are you?"
My response was, "Baby, I've had that car most of my life, it's my Time Machine, the movie had nothing to do with me keeping it. I will let it go when I can't drive it anymore."
