What is the difference between the 2899970 manifold and the 2899879 manifold? I have one parts book says I should have a 970, and another book says I should have 879. I bought a pair of manifolds out of a 1970 Road Runner and the RH side had the 879. Which should it be? I am assuming the 879 that I have.
My 1970 RT/SE has 2899879 on the passenger side and 2951865 on the driver side. They are the original manifolds. Hope this helps.
Yup. That's all I need! Thanks! :bradsthumb:
the 2899970 manifold is the 1970 -'72 383/400 2bbl passenger side "LOG" single exhaust manifold
If I remember correctly I think there was a mistake in one of Galen's white books that was confusing everybody....but 879's and 865's is what you want. :alan2cents:

That's what I have and yes, it was Galen's white book that was confusing me.
Are the part numbers the same for a 70 cuda ?
Yes, the manifolds are engine specific, not model specific.
