Title: WIW Parts from project
Post by: gilbiy1977 on February 02, 2023, 07:18:05 AM
I am working on a 1970 Cuda 383 build and have a few 1969 OEM parts that I am not going to reuse.  I imagine I am painting a target on myself but am I in the ballpark with these asking prices?  Everything is in good shape and ready to use unless otherwise noted.

Exhaust Manifolds (complete set) $450
Intake Manifold $150
Stock 906 Heads $300
Stock Rocker Assembly $75
Power Steering Box (needs new seals) $200
Rallye Gauge Cluster (woodgrain bezel not included, clock does not keep good time) $300

After Market Parts
650 Holley Brawler Carburetor $400

I think you're a little light on the gauge cluster. Even without the woodgrain if it's truly '70 - '71 and everything works (excluding clock's accuracy) I'd ask 500. Just my opinion.

:iagree: on the gauges - I have seen gauges as high as $1500 - whether or not they can get it is another story!  Otherwise I think that is pretty reasonable from what I have seen while hunting for parts.

I always say price it where you think is fair plus a little and take offers, you can always say no  :alan2cents:

Thanks for the honest feedback.  I figured I would get grilled for asking or a bunch of senseless responses.

Thanks for the feedback.  I have seen some really high prices but I usually those are fully restored clusters with bezel.

If you want some honest feedback this is the place!  This is my go to for info, especially on parts identification and pricing - I made a few not great buys early on and checking in here is the best help!

Plus it is pretty safe buying and selling here

My opinion -

Exhaust Manifolds (complete set) $450  - right on
Intake Manifold $150                          -  a bit high for factory cast
Stock 906 Heads $300                        - right on
Stock Rocker Assembly $75                 - close?
Power Steering Box (needs new seals) $200   -  more around $100
Rallye Gauge Cluster (woodgrain bezel not included, clock does not keep good time) $300  - way low, price depends on if it includes wiring harness or not

After Market Parts
650 Holley Brawler Carburetor $400
