Getting ready to paint my dash vin Tag. Do you leave it all black or scratch paint off the numbers?

I use a scotch bright pad and get the new rub on decal from ESC after lightly painting it.

I did what Rich G. said. Paint and then apply decal from ESC. If you've taken it off the dash ESC also has the proper rivets, although they are pricey. :bigmoney:

The numbers aren't supposed to be "scratched off", just something that happened over the years :alan2cents:
