Title: Interesting spin on a Tuff wheel
Post by: Brads70 on April 23, 2021, 05:33:12 PM
Just browsing Ebay looking for parts and came across this and thought it looked sort of like a Tuff wheel . Might be nice in a "pro-touring " type of car? Give a little more room too?

I actually like that. And at 14" it's a good size.

That must be a steering wheel for up North, I can't imagine how hot that would get here in Texas.  :whiteflag:

I like the mod-D shape though, it would fit well with my 'Cuda build.

Do you mean the aluminum back would heat up?

That would be great if they made it a little longer for an E Body  hate to wrap your knuckles on the dash

When parked out in the sun, the exposed metal would be really hot!  I think it would look better if the bottom was covered.

LOL! Well played Alan, well played! It should have AGAR lettering on it, too!  :bigthumb:

Flaming River make one too. I have it in my 51 Dodge. It does make it easier to get inside.

Here's the pictures @Brads70 (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/brads70_12) ...didn't realize, but it came with an adaptor that will holds the horn switch.

Adapter..... took me 4 hours plus a solid chunk of aluminum 6" dia by about 1 1/2" thick . Most of it ends up a chips... No way I could make these and turn a profit, so this is a one of one LOL Fun project to figure out though. Kind of threading the needle machining wise, everything has to be just right to make it work and not be so thick. Alan will have a one of one wheel adapter LOL
