Hi All,
As you guys might know I brought my 70 Hemi Challenger Rt se Gator Car to MCACN this year. The show was great, lots of nice cars. I met 6bblgt at the show this past week, and we had some great conversations. So 6bblgt had his gator grain sample from his car with him and we compared the two together in this photograph. Nice meeting all you guys from here I had a blast.
-Greg
Saw a video about your awesome car and it had your son in it too. That car is a treasure!
Here's a few pics from the show!

Awesome Greg!
Great video!!!!
I saw that Galen posted on Facebook that your Challenger was his favorite out of all the cars at the show. :clapping:
Hearing your car start in the video made me go out and start a Hemi. I had to hear that great Hemi sound in person. There's something special about the way a Hemi sounds. :inlove:
Beautiful ride, I so love gator grain! Thought about adding it to my car....
What a great car. You're my hero for keeping it (and in mint condition I might add) all these years.
Cool !
V1G :ohyeah: :ohyeah:
Thanks Guys! :)
That is awesome! What an amazing car! :worship:
Thank you for sharing the video , great story , awesome car .
I joke with my youngest brother that if he had not been born in 71 , our Dad was going to buy a 71 Cuda convertible Hemi.

What a cool story! Your Dad would be proud of you! :bravo: :bradsthumb:
Hi Greg,
Thanks for bringing yourself, your crew and your car to the show! You had a great display setup there with your car and all your sign-boards - I really liked reading them. I was there Sunday morning when they were filming your car and saw you and Dan having that long in-depth discussion off to the side.
About the Gator-Grain top on your car. When comparing your top to the other Gator-Grain topped car that was there, your top seemed ... "thicker" for lack of a better word, with a more pronounced deeply grained texture and look to it than the other car. There was no mistaking that the top on your car was something other than an ordinary vinyl top! I assume, like the rest of the car, that the top is still the original factory material??
Yes, it is the original vinyl top. I did notice that the light blue Cuda top was different in appearance by a lot. I would guess that the Cuda's Top was reproduction by the looks of it. There's subtle differences in the width of the pattern, the look and feel of the top. I think the shine and gloss of the top might be the differences in the age or aging of the material.
If it makes any difference, this is the original top on a good friend's 1970 Super Bee.

What color is your friends gator top, it looks brown like 6bblgt sample?
Love the story, absolutely love the car. Can't wait to get together with Greg next year when the weather is nice... I have the hemi and the RT/SE, but just in separate cars.
Thanks for sharing!

Depends on the light. Code is V1G.
Thanks Dave, I'm thinking of displaying the car at the Detroit Autorama this coming up March 2-4th, for those that couldn't make Chicago.
