Title: VIN tag
Post by: Husk Challenger on November 17, 2017, 01:12:08 PM
Hi all,

My VIN tag is missig on my dashboard, so i contacted datatags in order to have some information for a new one.
So it is possible but the price is out of range for me. They ask me about 400$ shipped to France...

My question is simple, is there any chance to find a cheaper place to have a reproduction VIN tag?
Or do i have to deal with such prices?

Thanks a lot

Cedric

I think they're the only game in town that will reproduce one accurately. I think that's a small price to pay for such a major important part of any car :alan2cents:

:iagree:  Best to step up and get the one they produce.  It's accurate and they will do a good job.  Sucks that it's so expensive, but you will be happier in the end.

:iagree:  There are some parts you can spend less money on, a VIN tag is not one of them.   :takemymoney:

Do they include the Penastar silk screen at that price?

I'm pretty sure it's the compete VIN with silk screen and correct rivets.

No real choices for that.

That price isn't too bad then, it cost me $60 just to redo my VIN.

The answer was:
A new vin tag would be $345usd.   Price includes correct mounting rivets
