Title: Toledo Assembly Plant Video - Jeep
Post by: 303 Mopar on November 17, 2018, 08:56:24 AM
Interesting video of the Jeep assembly plant in Toledo.  My how times have changed - way more robots than people, but at 8:35 you can see they still drop the body on a fully assembled chassis and drivetrain.

Pretty cool stuff. I am an engineering supervisor for Peterbilt, we have a lot of similar robots at our facility, though we're building ~150-170 Class 8 trucks per day. Those Jeep volumes are far higher.

Quite a dated video, but this build cell is still being used today. Our trucks are still completely custom to whatever our customer specs.
