Title: Question on AMD Challenger Fenders and antenna hole
Post by: erik70rt on December 21, 2019, 07:18:36 AM
I recently ordered a set of AMD fenders from a shop here in PA.  I asked them to get the RH fender without the antenna hole.  When they arrived and I finally picked them up, the RH fender has the antenna hole.  When I asked them about it, they told me AMD only sells them with the antenna hole.

Can you get an AMD RH 1970 Challenger fender without the antenna hole? :notsure:

I don't think so... :alan2cents: I've had to have them welded up

Thanks, Alan.  I was hoping not to have to do that.

I have never seen that " no antenna hole" was an option? I welded up mine also.

I am sure that when AMD was stamping fenders( I am sure they were done in large batches to justify setting-up the press dies)  that the hole was part of the die set-up. Would not make sense to make 2 dies. Remember only T/a's came with rear antennae. They would have dealt with any possible radio delete cars with some type of plug.

The factory had non antennae fenders available, AMD is one piece fits all. Check the fitup of those fenders on the car with hood before laying any paint on.
