Greetings from the Heartland,
First of all, yes I am one of those guys that so many love to hate...I have a '71 Challenger convertible that has been sitting longer than I care to admit and yes "I'm going to restore it some day". :-[ Starting on one of my brother's projects first (another '71 Challenger), again after too many years :tool:  but we have actually started on it. I was wondering if someone could steer me towards a project documentation/parts list resource? I'm very anxious to get behind the wheel of an E-body again! 8)
Welcome from Sylmar, CA
I have a '71 'Cuda so some members with Dodge Challenger knowledge will soon answer your questions I'm sure.
Welcome, sounds like a fun project! Get to know Mopardave on here he is from Roseville and supports this site and gives us great discounts. He for the most part is one stop shopping.
Big MOPAR Welcome to the Forum "SuperDave" from SoCal. A '71 Challenger sounds like. Great starting point, no matter how long it's been waiting for attention. You'll be able to get a lot of the help you need from the enthusiasts here on this Forum. Don't be afraid to ask any questions you need answered. I also own a '70 Challenger that I've owned for many years. Thanks, Al
:welcome:  :bigthumb:
Starting withe the most solid one (by far). It spent some time in Hawaii with the previous owner. Minor quarter and fender patches floors and everything else really solid. 8) Thanks for the help. Oh, 318 origionally 3 speed going 4 most likely, yellow/black with a white top :o. Not really a color combo I would have gone with but...
:welcome: from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada :canada:

From another new member here Welcome!
Welcome from B.C. Canada. So you're doing TWO 71 Challenger ragtops? You dog!
Actually we have three and a hardtop. (two droptops and the hardtop belong to my brother)...sshhhh ;) The vert I have is my first car so it's extra special to me.
Here's another welcome to the site from Ontario :canada: and good luck with your restorations!
:welcome: :welcome: :welcome: from Buffalo, NY. Most of us mere mortals find 1 project car to be plenty challenging. You're going to have 3.5X the fun!
I bought mine in 1982 and it already had some rust issues. Talking to a guy at school about it and he said he had looked at it and passed because it had rust and honestly it has been hit pretty hard behind the passenger side door. Not looking forward to that. The one we are working on now was purchased in 1980 or so, someone posted an ad on the bulletin board where our mom worked. Didn't take my brother ling to jump on that one.
Good taste in cars! I prefer 70 but I've owned a couple 71's too.... If you have questions someone here will most likely have the answer.... Rusty banged up cars can look great with a little work....
:unbelievable: :unbelievable: :clapping: Very nice.
superdave Welcome from New Jersey
There are a lot of people here who are very knowledgeable and will be able to help you. :wrenching:
I love the Challenger convertibles; I currently own a Y-1 yellow 1970 A66 convertible that I have owned since 1979, and was in storage since 1984.
I finally started to work on it in 2015
In the past I have owned a 70 Challenger RT vert in plum crazy 383- 4 sp car (wish I still had that one) and my first convertible Challenger was a 1971, 383 automatic w a black interior that I picked up for 500. back in the day. Also sold this one.
Looking forward to seeing your work on your Challenger project!
New Sig Picture.. Just here to help...

[facebook][/facebook] LOL, yes that's the idea. I earned the nickname during my waterskiing days. Everyone liked to watch me jump... it was either going to be a decent jump or a spectacular pileup but guaranteed to be on the edge of control either way!! What I lacked in talent I tended to make up for in enthusiasm (read: " throwing myself at the ramp"). : throw 8) :)
