Thanks to alot of guys here for your help...does anyone have a pic of the fuel vapor line coming from breather on the fire wall..
Car is looking good!
:lookatthat:
Sorry I cant help you but nice job!
Love 71s!
Fuel vapor line from firewall? It routes on top of the passenger side frame rail up to a clip on the inner fender. Then a hose to the breather cap.
Vapor line routing on my 71 Challenger. As stated, up from frame rail.

You should never put shiny new parts on a car that's NOT painted yet :alan2cents: ....of course....just my opinion...
That's going to be a great car. What is the plan, are you assembling it then having the exterior painted when complete?

Wasnt my plans, to do it this way, but after 1-1/2 year of body shop jail, I got sick of the games, believe me ,every precaution is gonna be done to make sure things pan out... This will be a driver.. :)
It will be a very nice driver. It will just take time to tape it all off but you can do it.
So cool!!!! :clapping: It's looking wonderful.  Can't wait to see this one all done.
On my 73 cuda the vapor line runs up the passenger frame rail until after the fuel line kicks over to the pump and then it comes up the inner fender and then via hose to the non-existant charcoal canister. If yours is same I don't have a pic but could take one.

thinking this, and yes buying stock in tape...... :crying:
I think she is looking pretty good. :bradsthumb:
The 73 is different. It runs past the front of the shock tower and then straight up. If that is a correct aftermarket tube, I'd say you have it about right.
Car looks good. :ohyeah:
Looking good! Bet you can't wait till she's finished. :bigthumb:
:ohyeah: Looking good I must say.
Lolls like a great car. K can take some pictures for you in the morning if I remember. 😜
cool build :bigthumb:

That started in 72.... His is as others have posted....
FWIW I agree with Alan, but I fully understand when your at & like Sheldon mentioned tape everything tight.... & Good Luck.... Good looking car.... I HATE the whole Body Shop/Painter Hell we are forced to endure.....
That looks great. It will be full speed ahead now on assembly I bet.
I like it! looks great
Looks very nice. What color is that, EV2?
yes EV2, and yes it was taped very tight... ;)

sweet :bradsthumb:
That's a big step, looks great.
debating on what to do, the wiring harness is for electronic ignition , show it or hide it.. thank for the kind replys
Looks really nice! Unless you are going for a "gold" status 100 pt car, IMO make it reliable.
This car is over restored, the question was to show the box or hide it...
Looking amazing! :worship:
I put my MSD box under the battery tray just so it wouldn't jump out at me.
Ready to be cut
Love the treatment on the garage door windows!

Looking fabulous!!! Getting closer. Great job. :bradsthumb:
Hide the ignition box if possible.
It is looking very good
Orange was invented to be sprayed on E-bodies.
moving along
Nice: It's really coming together now.
starting the interior..
Looking good, love that H6XV interior....three seat belts in the back is unique, never seen anybody add that before....The outer "male" belts are not correct for 71... :alan2cents: although the car is custom anyways, I doubt you care. :bigthumb:
funny you say the seat belts aren't correct, they were ordered from Bill Edwards, and I have one of the Kohr brothers helping me and he said they are correct, but I would like some more input.... you are right I'm adding alittle more of a touch to this build, but mostly 90% correct..
Just keeps getting better and better.
Beautiful color contrast. :ohyeah:
Really nice!!! You are doing great! :clapping: :1place:
It's only the outer belts that are wrong, in 71 they were not in a hard plastic cover like yours are...simple fix if you have sharp scissors

Yeah the outer belts should not have the hard plastic on them.
Not long from this point to :stayinlane: it! You have done an excellent job.
For you Allen.. :D little more
Love it :drooling:
Gorgeous!
My only change would be an A21 front rubber bumper.
That colour looks great in there.
rubber bumpers were on the car when I got it , didn't care for them and NOT on the build sheet.... :P
So what is on the broadcast sheet ? Is this an original six pack car with orange interior ? :)
Looking great
I love the elastomeric bumpers on Cudas , they fit to the body so much better :alan2cents:

Yes Allen this is an original 6-pak , auto ,shaker with 4.10 super trac pack.. :waving:
here is the fender tag, every thing from the broad cast sheet is on here, yes I have the sheet, older pic... screws are correct now and now painted.
WOW  very cool car...I've been reading all along, but never realized it was an original car you were restoring, I just thought you were building your, and my, dream car.... That thing is sweet... :drooling:

Did you add the power windows?
Did you add the power windows?
[/quote]
Yes and no, when I purchase the car the past owner went to alot of trouble to make it electric windows, factory harnesses and all, so I left it that way, just like the dash, weird combo, it's not a rally dash car... automatic trans ordered with the trac pac...here are some pics I have when I got it.... it was horrible...
Glad to see the interior going back to the right color
coming home this weekend....
:inlove: :drooling:
That's looking quite bad ass :ohyeah:
Yup: Orange, torkthrusts, multicarbs. Nothing to not like!
Very nice Ric !!!Great job on bringing that one back to it's former glory... Hard to believe someone would change the original color and interior ...I can't wait to see it in person... :1place:
That looks great !!
Its home....
Awesome!!!! :lookatthat:
:inlove: :wowzers: :handshake:  :bradsthumb:
Yeah, that must feel good. Looking sharp. Looks like a life size hot wheel.
Absolutely beautiful.
I can't believe I didn't see this build before. Wow what a restoration great job and beautiful car.
Can I ask you a dumb question? My 70 'Cuda also has a Super trak pack with the Dana 60 and 4:10 gears. Have you driven yours on the freeway yet for any distance? Just curious as to how many RPM your running at freeway speeds? While I've gotten mine up to freeway speeds briefly I haven't driven it on the freeway. With 4:10 gears I wonder how anybody ever drove these cars on a freeway with 4:10 gears? :clueless:

gearvender is my friend, and yes it fits, very little massaging..
I can't remember but I think my HemiCuda tached at about 3200 at 60MPH with 4.10's.
Stunning! :D :wowzers: :inlove:
pretty much done for alittle bit, got to finish this packard up, so I can use the lift...
Sharp car-definitely an eye catcher.
Beautiful job.

Looks great, you are a couple steps closer to the finish line than I am on my 73. I know how excited you must be, I feel it too. Keep up the good work.
